Acorn Funds
There are many ways to support local causes and projects which are close to your heart. A great option is to set-up an Acorn Fund with the Foundation. An Acorn Fund allows you to make a long-term commitment to meet the needs of the community, both now and for generations to come. Over the years, even small donations to your fund will build, the income from which will allow you to support the local causes and projects you care about the most.
You can have an Acorn Fund in your name, just as one would do with a private charitable trust. Alternatively, you can decide to make some or all your donations anonymously – it’s entirely up to you.
You can start to build an Acorn Fund with as little as £65 per month (plus Gift Aid) or £1,000 a year.
And there has never been a better time to give! From now until March 2011, you could double the size of your fund. For every £1 you give, this will be matched by another £1 under the Grassroots programme.
