Summary of Findings - The Hidden Need

The last two years have seen unprecedented economic conditions. This has impacted on consumers, business and government. The resulting impact has seen CAB’s reporting increasing levels of problems relating to debt, governments introducing far-reaching austerity packages and increasing levels of bankruptcy.

‘The Hidden Need in Berkshire’ concluded that there are several cause and effect problems that need addressing in Berkshire:

• Ageing population
• Isolated communities
• Access to housing and services
• Health issues
• Education skills and training
• Crime levels
