Setting up your Named Fund
The Community Foundation is geared to meeting your charitable giving needs in the easiest and most tax effective way and both companies and individuals can establish a Named Fund to support their local community.

Companies find setting up a Named Fund ideal as it means they don't have to deal with dozens of requests for support and for individual donors, the administrative burden is removed. Setting up a Fund is easy and the donors can have as much or as little input into the distribution of the money as they wish.

Named Funds can be used to concentrate on any issue, such as young or older people, those with a long term physical or mental illness, or a geographical area.

Examples of Funds within the Foundation.

Named Fund can be set up with a minimum pledge of £50,000, which can be paid over a number of years or as a single donation through a major donation, a Gift of Shares, property, or a legacy. A Named Fund offers an alternative to setting up an Independent Charitable Trust, without the bureaucracy involved, but with similar benefits.
