Funds for grants (through funding or match funding)

Newbury Racecourse Centenary Fund using monies raised in their anniversary year provided £70,000 + for grants in the Newbury area in 2005/6.

Sage UK provides grants in both Berkshire and in other areas where the company has a presence through the local community foundations.

Business Objects Fund, set up in 2005, stands at £60,000 and aims to broaden access to education for local vulnerable young people - particularly supporting literacy, language, maths, science and technology skills.

A number of Trusts have provided either match funding for BCF grants or funds for grant making, including the Englefield Charitable Trust, The Gerald Palmer Trust, the Sobell Trust, the Elizabeth Jane Foundation, the The Robert McAlpine Foundation, The Mandeville Trust and the Tubney Charitable Trust.

Since 2001, The Greenham Common Trust has been actively involved in the ESF Global Grants scheme and has committed £90,000 in match funding until 2006 which has been a huge support to the scheme - www.greenham-common-trust.co.uk 

Mars UK offers grants through their Sense of Community Grants Scheme, to the communities which surround each of their sites. The Foundation administers the small grants scheme for the Slough area.  Please check the website www.masterfoodscharitabledonations.co.uk for more details
