£1,243 was awarded in the Summer of 2010 for play and garden equipment to create a safe play area for Mothers and Toddlers. ADDRESSING NEED: Improving Community Life£4,000 awarded January 2010 to extend the curriculum offered to those youngsters not in education, employment or training. ADDRESSING NEED: Education, skills and training deprivation£2,000 awarded in autumn 2009 for the replacement of chairs with ergonomically designed new ones. ADDRESSING NEED: Health issues and ageing population£220 awarded in December 2009 provided new seating in the community garden which promotes horticultural experience for people of all ages and abilities. ADDRESSING NEED: Disability£2,000 awarded in April 2009 which paid for 21 staff and volunteers to undergo training in listening skills and child protection. ADDRESSING NEED: Children's welfareBritwell Youth & Community Project were finalists in the BCF 25th anniversary grant award. As runner up, the project was awraded £500 from the BCF Staff Fund. ADDRESSING NEED: Youth welfarePrince William and Miss Middleton announced that BCF is to be one of the charities which benefits from charitable donations made in honour of their marriage.
